TITAN AMERICA DENIES VENDOR CLAIM OF MULTI -YEAR CONTRACT
Titan America LLC, a subsidiary of Titan Cement Company, S.A. refuted today the claims that a multi-year agreement had been made between Titan America and Emergency Vehicle Installation, Inc. ("EVI"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of GHL Technologies, Inc.
In a press release, dateline Bremerton, Washington, May 17, 2006, EVI stated that it had "commenced servicing a previously-secured, multi-year agreement with Titan America" and would "provide GPS installation and maintenance for all of Titan's fleet vehicles nationwide." According to Titan America officials, the statements published by GHL Technologies are inaccurate and unauthorized.
Titan America's Graham Fox, VP, Information Systems commented, "What we have agreed to is a short -term, month-by-month contract with GHL Technologies for only a small portion of our fleet; we did not enter into a multi-year contract. And so far, their overall performance has not met my expectations."
Titan America LLC is one of the premier cement and building materials producers in the Eastern United States, headquartered in Norfolk, Va. Titan America operates all the US assets for its parent company, Titan Cement Company, S.A., headquartered in Athens, Greece.
