Job Description:  Tarmac America’s Florida Business Unit has an excellent opportunity for a Plant Supervisor for its Pompano Beach Plant located in the South Coast Area. Responsibilities:

  Roanoke Cement Company has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Roanoke, VA.  This salary, non-exempt position will report to the Accounts Payable Services Coordinator.  The primary function of this position is to maintain proper control of all areas of the payable group, within company-set guidelines.  This requires broad knowledge and understanding of various accounting and finance functions. 

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain proper approvals and coding for invoices in a timely manner, which includes quick follow-up.
  • Enter invoices into payables system for multiple businesses
  • Process invoices into payables system via DataStream, which includes getting materials received in DataStream on time, applying correct sales tax when needed, getting appropriate approval on extra charges and pricing differences
  • Proof, correct and post all invoices entered directly into payables systems
  • Set up and generate check runs using ePayables, Paymode and Paymode Plus

  Roanoke Cement Company has an excellent opportunity for a Process Control Operator in Troutville, VA.  This salaried, non-exempt position will report to the Quality Control Manager and will be responsible for testing Portland cement and raw materials to meet ASTM standards (American Standards for Testing Materials).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform chemical and physical tests according to ASTM standards
  • Provide vacation relief for process control and physical testing employees
  • Test water samples as required by VA Department of Environmental Quality Permit
